On this week’s show, Andy Larsen returns from Brazil and joins Ben Dowsett to start talking free agency. With rumors that Gordon Hayward could be receiving a max deal, Ben and Andy dig into the topic of A) is Hayward worth the max? and B) even if it’s an overpay, should the Jazz sign him anyway? We explore some of the possibilities besides Hayward at the wing position.
Then, we talk to Jacob Rosen, of WaitForNextYear and SportsAnalyticsBlog. He tells us about the Cleveland perspective of things, and so we discuss whether Hayward makes sense for the Cavs, and whether a Favors + #5 for the #1 pick was ever actually in discussions. We also talk CJ Miles and David Blatt.
Finally, we sign off with another Crazy Trade Idea of the Week. Should the Jazz acquire Jeremy Lin for free? Especially if it comes with a good prospect?
