That’s right.  “Big” Al Jefferson

"Big" Al Jefferson (Mike Terry/Deseret News)

Hailing from the small small town Prentiss, Mississippi (which boasts a population of ~ 1200), obviously, his Prep resume speaks for itself. He’s had success in the League, too. In 2008-2009 as a member of the Pesky Timberwolves, he averaged 23.1 points and 11.0 rebounds. If those numbers don’t impress you, keep in mind that in the last ten years, only five other players accomplished that feat (Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Shaq, and Chris Webber). He’s also been selected to the 2010-21 USA Men’s National Team Program. To say that “Big” things are in store would be an understatement.
