On this week’s episode of the Salt City Hoops Show, we lead off with talk of draft trades. We take 11 different suggestions from our audience on Twitter, and evaluate ideas for trading up, down, in, or out of this year’s draft. We spend a segment talking about the NBA Finals, then bring Layne Vashro, famous for his NBA Draft projections, into the studio. Layne stays with us for nearly an hour as we go through the strengths and weaknesses of most of the prospects around the top of the draft and the #12 slot. We’re excited to have him on the show. All that and more on this week’s episode!

If Stanley Johnson is still on the board at 12, that’s a no-brainer to me. I’m torn between Turner and Kaminsky and like Portis nearly as much. I’m less of a fan of Looney and Lyles. RHJ is interesting if the coaches think they can fix his shot. Oubre might be a decent “shoot the moon” prospect. I’ll be bummed if UTA takes Booker.

If we traded up to four i doubt Kristaps would be available Sixers love drafting big men and Embiid is out for another year. If we traded up the BPA would be D’angelo but maybe he would be a good pick considering the pick they mentioned required trey.
