The ESPN700 studios. I’ll sit in that chair tonight!

The day is finally here! Tonight 1 at 7 – 9 PM, Ben Dowsett and myself (Andy Larsen) will debut the Salt City Hoops Radio Show on ESPN700, the ESPNRadio affiliate in Utah.

Each Thursday from 7 – 9 PM, Ben and I will break down the latest in Jazz news and gameplay live on the airwaves. We’ll also be featuring a wide array of players (both current and former), media, and other figures from around the Jazz and the NBA as guests, and we’ll have a bunch of fun segments taking a different point of view than the average media perspective.

Social media and fan feedback will be an important part of our show. To contact us, tweet us at @andyblarsen or @Ben_Dowsett.

To listen live, visit ESPN700Sports.com and click the Listen Live button at the top left. If you’re not able to listen live, each show will be posted as a podcast on both ESPN700’s website and our website as a podcast. Shows will also be available on iTunes and Stitcher under the show name “Salt City Hoops Radio”.

Today’s show will preview the upcoming 2014-15 Utah Jazz season. We’ll be predicting some over/unders for the Jazz’s players this season, including Gordon Hayward, Dante Exum, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Rudy Gobert, and Trey Burke. We’ll have Jody Genessy, Jazz beat writer for the Deseret News, join the program. SCH writer Dan Clayton will also come on the show talking about the lottery non-changes and their impact on the Jazz. Finally, we’ll be predicting the Jazz’s final win total for the season. 2
