Salt City Hoops Saturday Show: Free Agency Plan Contest

June 30th, 2013 | by Andy Larsen

In this week’s episode of the Salt City Hoops Saturday Show, we bring together 5 different bloggers from Jazzland: Andy Larsen, Dan Clayton, Laura Thompson, Clark Schmutz, and Peter Novak, and have them give their version of what they would do if they were in Dennis Lindsey’s shoes for the rest of the offseason. How would they fill out the roster? Which of the Jazz’ current free agents would they bring back, and who would they go out and sign from another team? Would they go out and push for any trades? Finally, we have our audience vote on the winner. Which blogger has the best plan in all of Jazzland? Tune in to this week’s podcast to find out!

  1. Jeremy Bowers says:

Does this mean the end of the Clark and Andy? Say it ain’t so?!?!?!

Also, RSS feed for the new podcast, please?

  2. Jeremy Bowers says:

I meant, “Clark and Andy show”

  3. Rory Litster says:

OJ Mayo for sure, bring back Foye and Carrol, trade for Luke Ridinour minnesota has 70 pg’s by shipping off Marvin and Andray Blatche.

  4. Zach says:

In order of priority…Bring back Carrol and Milsap, Sign Jose Calderon or Jeff Teague (unless you can trade Marvin Williams for a Luke Ridnor-type PG) Bring in one of these four: OJ Mayo, Kevin Martin, JJ Reddick or Kyle Korver. Possibly bring back Foye only if he is not a starter, and does not play prime minutes…like a 3pt specialist. His +/- was so bad last year because he was on the court too long.

  5. Zach says:

Get Mayo! Resign Milsap and Carroll! Here is our 13-15 man roster.

    C: Kanter, Favors, Gobert

    PF: Milsap, Favors, Evans

    SF: Hayward, Carroll, Evans

    SG: Mayo, Burks, McNeal, Murphy

PG: Burke, Burks (Tinsley/Foye/Eric Maynor/someone else)
