On this episode of the Salt City Hoops Podcast from the ESPN700 studios, Andy Larsen is joined by Clint Johnson in a discussion of all of the things going on in Jazzland. First, we talk about Gordon Hayward’s max offer sheet. Clint has significant reservations about signing Hayward. In particular, how will he perform under the spotlight of a max deal?

Then, Salt City Hoops founder Spencer Hall joins us on the program. Spencer was the original Summer League blogger, posting about the Rocky Mountain Revue and the Vegas Summer League for FreeDarko. We talk about the history of the summer league, some of the anecdotes of the old days in SLC and Vegas, and look forward to this year’s summer league. We also talk about the fan turnout at yesterday’s summer league practice.

Finally, it’s time for the Crazy Trade Idea of the Week. This idea comes from the JazzFanz message boards. Could Carlos Boozer return to the Utah Jazz? All that and more on this week’s show!

Can we get a “Spencer is Awesome” t-shirt on SCH? Asking for…me.

Enjoyed the podcast. My favorite part was the “Charlotte Horn Cats” comment. I hope they have finally settled in with a name. I would do the Boozer trade only if this Merotic guy would agree to come over next year.If they had to they could fill the roster with D- league guys.

Hasn’t Boozer been amnestied yet? He has to be, how else could the Bulls sign Pau Gasol?
I think Boozer will go to Cleveland. He spent the first two years of his career there, the 2nd with LeBron James, and maybe they want a reunion? He can be a volume scorer off the bench. Let Tristian Thompson start.
