On this week’s episode of the Salt City Hoops Show, usual co-host Ben Dowsett is in Vegas, so Layton Shumway hosts alongside Andy Larsen to talk about the Utah Jazz and the NBA. We do bring Ben on to the show in the first segment, as we talk Vegas Summer League and more. Then, we talk about the “Utah Jazz model”, mentioned by Kevin Arnovitz on ESPN.com earlier in the day. Is that the right path forward? So much NBA news has happened over the last week, including new contracts for two former Jazzmen: Enes Kanter and Deron Williams. We talk about both. Finally, we look at the end of the roster: who stays and who goes in order to cut it down to 15? All that and more on the Salt City Hoops Show!

Isn’t it telling that some of the biggest Jazz news is about what is going on in contract talks with its’ former players? Kind of indicates that there isn’t a lot of great things happening on the team today.
