This is a weird Salt City Hoops Show. We begin by talking about the Jazz’s four game losing streak: how worried are we, what are the causes of it, and what are the chances the Jazz make the playoffs? Then, we switch to NBA talk for a while. First: we haven’t had a show since the trade deadline, so we talk about those moves. Then, the waiver market is opening up: who’s moved teams, and could the Jazz take advantage of the players available? Then, we talk about NBA news and notes, but mostly, spurred on by Chuck the Condor, a lot about mascots. We bring CBS Sports’ James Herbert on to talk about the Jazz and especially Derrick Favors from a national perspective, before we devolve into a lot of mascot talk. All that and more on this week’s Salt City Hoops Show!
