The 2009 Vegas Summer League is in full swing, and since the Jazz aren’t participating, this Blazers superfan will have to provide the visual accompaniment to this post.
First of all – Boozer trade news. Ric Bucher went on ESPN this morning and reported that a Booz-to-the-Bulls trade is in the works. However, the word on press row seems to be skeptical it’ll happen. Most people agree that Boozer will be moved soon, but not to the Bull. Follow the Twitter feed and I’ll post updates as I get ’em.
Second of all, it’s hard to watch your baby grow up, and the Vegas Summer League is definitely all grown. Gone are the days of a half-filled Cox Arena with no one on your row but Jeff Van Gundy. Now it’s all about a full Thomas & Mack brimming with Lakers and Clippers for Blake Griffin’s debut. It’s still the best part of my summer, don’t get me wrong, and I love having nearly every team in the league in one spot. But I’m glad I got a chance to sit in on the early days. Also, I miss the Rocky Mountain Revue.
I’ll post hot updates as they emerge. In the meantime, check the twitter page for lame jokes and name dropping.
